Have you ever practiced yoga by candlelight? I find there’s just something special, cosy and comforting about it, especially during the winter months. In fact, candles in Scandinavian countries are used to combat the long, dark winters, symbolising; warmth, community, and hope. Candlelight in Scandina is commonly used in preference of the harsh, overhead electrical lighting, giving a more warming and gentle glow. I have used this as my inspiration this winter for our Sunday sessions.

Rest and Digest yoga next month will be a special candlelight yoga session. Taking place on Sunday 26th July, 4.15pm – 5.30pm at 63 Main Street, Greytown (St Andrews hall). The candlelight session will be the longer 75 minutes practice where you can enjoy restful and restorative yoga poses with a long, blissful guided relaxation to finish. Cost of the session is $20. All the yoga props you will need are provided but it is recommended to bring your own yoga mat and a blanket.

If you would like to reserve your space to rest and digest by candlelight this July please get in touch.
