How to avoid wrist pain in yoga


Here’s a visual guide I found ages ago and really liked. I just managed to find it again. I love the colour-coding. If you haven’t seen this before, give this a go next time you’re on the mat, especially if you experience any kind of wrist pain or fatigue. Protecting the joints during yoga practice is so important.

I think the first time I was given instruction to lift the palm of my hand (as with the yellow colour coding), I was in a yoga class in a little village community in Nottinghamshire, UK with the most lovely yoga teacher Chris Naylor. It was a lightbulb moment for me, it just felt so comfortable and my foundation in my hand placement so secure.
