Pat Hay – Art Therapy Workshop Facilitator
Pat Hay has been a registered Arts therapist for just over 5 years, after a career in education. She currently works in private practice with individual clients, offers counselling at a local college and facilitates therapeutic art-making groups in the community. Pat says;
“Creative expression, within a supportive and non-judgmental environment, has the power to enhance emotional and mental well-being, foster healing and in groups, to provide a sense of community.”
It is available to everyone – no technical skills are necessary to benefit.
Em Allwood-Holmes – In house yogi and Event Organiser
I am a qualified (200hrs YTT) yoga and meditation teacher. I undertook my initial yoga teacher training in India, studying under Swami Vidyanand and have taught yoga in the UK and New Zealand. I have a particular interest in Yin Yoga, following the principles of Paul Grilley. I find Yin Yoga simply nourishes my soul. I use yoga and meditation to develop self-awareness and love nothing better than to share the beautiful balance yoga has bought me with others.
I will be leading the blissful 90 minute Yin Yoga session. During this session you will have time and space to take the journey inward to connect with self and all the tools you need to ‘let go’. By the end of your 90 minute Yin Yoga session you will end up feeling calm, relaxed and rejuvenated.
The nourishing restorative yoga session will be suitable for all levels of experience. We will use yoga asanas or postures, gentle movement with the breath, requiring concentration of the mind. There will not be any difficult or strong postures to hold in this session, just time for yourself to focus and nurture awareness of body and breath.
I will also guide you through your Yoga Nidra, a guided relaxation. This is said to be more energy restoring than sleep. I can certainly recommend it if you need to recharge those batteries and take a break from busy life.
Yoga Yamas and Niyamas
In accordance with the yoga yamas and niyamas all meals will be vegetarian and will be alcohol-free during session times (Friday 3.30pm-6.00pm and Saturday 10am-4.30pm).
